Stone Soup

Madison's Kindergarten Class along with 2 other Kindergarten classes joined together this morning for a Cooperation Feast. They enjoyed Stone Soup (Vegetable Soup), rolls, homemade butter (they made themselves in class), pumpkin pie w/whipped topping and milk to drink. They had to sit with students from other classes to get to know them and use their good manners (please, thank you, and no thank you). They had to clean their own messes and throw away their own trash. For some this was the very first time they had ever had to do that and the looks on their faces when we told them to clean up was priceless! The Stone Soup was also made by the students in their classroom and then they were served in the Cafeteria by some Mom's who came to help. It is so much fun to have the freedom to help at Madison's school. I thank God everyday for this true blessing. :) Madison has a really good friend named Cate that she is posing with in the pictures below. They had to dress in their "Sunday Best". Some did and some did not!
