Valentines Day

We had a great Valentine's Day! It was just like another day for us. We had no special plans for dinner. We decided to spend it together as a family. Jason has been working some late hours the last couple of weeks so the kids were needing some good quality time with him. I made everyone's favorite meal. Spaghetti! We don't make a big deal out of Valentine's as far as gifts for the kids. Christmas and Birthday's are big enough. So this year I bought the kids a Webkinz pet which is all the rage right now at least for Madison. Madison got the heart frog and Jacob got the chocolate lab. Now, I have to say that I set out the gifts next to their breakfast plates. I usually get Jacob up first and get him started eating and then I get Madison up...she does not take as long to eat. Well, Jacob did not even notice the gift he was more interested in eating...not out of the ordinary for him. Madison on the other hand could have cared less about breakfast and focused more on the gift. Madison is just like her daddy when it comes to gifts. Jacob is more like me...if you get one great if not, no big deal. I received a rose from each of the kids and dark chocolate (my absolute favorite!). Jason gave me 2 dozen roses.
