Spring is officially here!

For me Spring is marked by the first mowing of the season. Yes, I am the one who mows in our family. Many will say that this is a man's job but I beg to differ. I grew up with 2 brothers and I still mowed the lawn at times. I find it very theraputic. I know that sounds crazy. But for me there is nothing like being outside walking behind a mower collecting my thoughts and at times talking to God. I find it great "me time" during the day. I put Jacob down for a nap and then head out to the greens! I do get up very early in the morning (4:30am) and I enjoy "me time" running but I also enjoy a little extra time once in a while. I love to finish up the lawn by trimming and edging. There is nothing like a well manicured lawn. Oh...and thank you Jason for budgeting the lawn service that fertilizes and kills weeds for us. After last spring spending many hours pulling weeds and suffering knee and back pain I do appreciate it! I will tell you that Jason would mow the lawn but he works many late nights and this gives him more time with the kids. Which is very important to us! Am I crazy for loving this?
