On Monday, I had just come off of a fun weekend away with a good friend. Upon my return my husband gets sick. He is home from work and I am struggling to get myself around and the kids fed and to school along with a terrible migraine. I went to grab something out of our junk drawer and realized I had just dipped my pinky finger and a few other random spots on my hand in Super Glue. It took me a few minutes to realize what I had done. So as I sat there going how do I get this off...my beautiful children came up with a couple of ideas that might help me get it off. (They actually wrote this list down on paper and handed it to me.)
1. use 20 skwirts of soap
2. you could take a bubble bath for 20 minutes
I'm sure you can guess I went for #2...what mom wouldn't! Actually, I had to use nail polish remover...luckily I had some. My husband tells me he does not know how it got in there...he was sure he tightened the lid on it. I beg to differ as it had a pretty steady stream coming from the bottle. Oh well, lesson learned, don't grab something out of the drawer blindly. I am a multi-tasker so that is very difficult for me!
My 4 year son is learning about taking care of the earth and recycling. He got in the car on Monday and told me he knew what he could do to take care of the earth.
1. throw my trash in the trash can
2. be nice to my sister all of the time
3. I can recycle by giving some of my toys to someone else who needs them more
4. don't waste water or electricity
I love #2. However, that might be a stretch especially with the summer coming up!
