Fall Break 2009 - Farm House in Missouri

Well, this year the kids and I traveled to Missouri to spend Fall Break. It was suppose to be a family trip but Jason had to work and could not get off at the last minute. We were invited to this beautiful property by our good friends Kim Walden and Chrissey Glavan. It is a family farm that their parents are now living on. I have to say it was a wonderful experience for our kids and myself as well. The weekend was filled with, walking the land, horseback riding, fishing, canoeing, pumpkin patchin', book fair, shopping, marshmallow roasting, all around great fun. Can't wait to do it again! Thank you both for sharing this weekend with us!

In Venita there is a McDonald's that was built over the turnpike. So the kids and I stopped there on the way home.

Here are the kids eating while cars and trucks are passing under way!

Jacob canoeing for the first time with friend Molly.

Canoeing with the girls. Madison's first time.

Did I mention a canoeing trip is not a canoeing trip without tipping the canoe! That's right. Madison and I tipped the canoe trying to get it back in place at the shore line. It was a bit cold and miserable but lots of fun!

The kids loading up to go fishing.

Jacob watching a goose.

Here he is with Mrs. Bunger feeding the goose.

Kim, Peter and myself did some shooting while we were there. Yes, I got a bulls-eye!

Yes, I am gloating!

Kim and I did some horseback riding. Needless to say I was sore the next day!

The kids also got to horseback ride as well. They loved it!
