It has been a crazy week here at the Smith house. I have been frantically getting things ready for my class for Program night and then getting the kids outfitted for their performances. It all went off without a hitch...well for the most part. The kids did an awesome job during their performances...Jacob was being his usually self...the center of attention and Madison her shy self playing with her hair and earrings and swaying during her performance. My class did a great job given the event that took place prior to our performance. One of our students either ate dinner too fast, was nervous, or just plain sick. He managed to vomit all over himself while we were waiting in the Chapel room for our turn. Dana (my co-teacher) cleaned him up while I tried to find his parents in the audience...that was like finding a needle in a haystack when all you can see is the back of their heads. But I did manage to find them. This year is Madison's last year so her class all received certificates. It is so hard to believe we will have a first grader next year. I'm not sure I am ready for it but I know she is!
