So what does a girl scout troop do with cookie money earned for their troop? This is the first year for this troop and they did an outstanding job selling cookies and earning money for our troop. We had all the girls make a list of the top 10 things they would like to do as a troop with the money they earned. The top choice among all of them was a night stay in a hotel! We were informed that there is a really neat hotel in Tulsa that has a great swimming area. So we checked it out decided it was perfect for what the girls were wanting to do. So we headed up to Tulsa last Friday night for a quick trip of fun. What should only take a short 2 hours took about 3 1/2 hours. There was a major accident on the turnpike and we sat for an hour waiting for the accident to clear. Once we arrived the girls changed into their swimsuits and swam until they could no longer hold their heads up! They swam for 3 1/2 hours non-stop! We had to drag them out. It was a short stay but loads of fun. I recommend this place if you are looking for a short get away with kids!
