Last Thursday night Jason had shoulder surgery to relocate his dislocated shoulder. This is a result of the grand mal seizure he suffered over 2 weeks ago. We were informed on Wednesday morning when we met with his Orthopedic Surgeon that this is a common problem for those who suffer a seizure. Had we known that when he was in the ER we would have had them check it out. However, we did not know the extent of the damage until Wednesday which turned out to be too late for popping it back in closed. The Surgeon wanted to perform the surgery as soon as possible so we were scheduled for Thursday evening. It went very well and they did have to open him up to relocate the shoulder. It was locked up and would not move closed. Jason is healing well and says the pain he felt for over 2 weeks while the shoulder was dislocated was worse than the pain from surgery 3 days later. We have been so fortunate to have such great surgeons. We were blessed to have a great group of friends and church family by our side on that evening in the waiting room. Thank you to all who were there and to all of you out there that have been praying for us.

Jason after surgery that night at home. He was feeling very good...something about a morphine block that they put in during surgery!
