Happy Birthday Sweetpea!

Wow, it is so hard to believe it was 8 years ago today that Daddy and I were holding you in our arms. We were overcome with your beauty. You were and still are the most beautiful girl we have every seen! We are biased. You have been a true blessing to us. We feel blessed everyday to have you in our lives. We have been blessed with such a thoughtful loving child. You are very tenderhearted. You care about everyone whether you know them or not. You love to play and you love school. Your favorite subject is Math...no surprise you are so much like your daddy! You excel in all you do at school and we are so very proud of you. You love to play soccer and looking forward to possibly cheer this winter. You love to dance. You love to play outside whenever possible. You always ask what you can do to help. I hope that continues. You love to cook. I need to take more time to share that with you. This has been a tough year for our family with Daddy getting sick this summer. But through it all you were there for me and kept me strong when I wanted to break down. You and I have become so close since all of this has happened. Prior to your Daddy getting sick this summer you were never really one to express your love...at least not in words or touch. I have to take the blame for that. I am not real touchy. That has changed since June. You and I talk more and we say we love you so much more. I love that. My heart melts everytime you hug me and tell me how much you love me. I hope you know how very much I love you. You are so precious. You love to talk. That definitely comes from Daddy. But I love to listen to you and all of the deep questions you have. You challenge me everyday with a tough question! We did not have a big party this year for your birthday. This was at your request. When given the choice between having a birthday party with friends or having a small party with Mom, Dad and Jacob you chose us! We feel so honored. We took you to Incredible Pizza for some food and fun. We all had a great time. We celebrated your birthday on your actual birthday with Grandma & Grandpa, Uncle Jeff and Aunt Shelly. We hope you had a great day and we love you so much. We look forward to what this year will bring. We have lots of new responsibilities to give you. Happy Birthday sweet girl! Love you!
