Beach at Moody Gardens

So the one thing the kids wanted to do this year for our family vacation was go to the beach. As I mentioned early in our posts on our vacation we decided to do the road trip beach instead of flying to a resort in Mexico. However, next time we will fly! We were going to take them to the sea wall in Galveston but decided Moody Gardens would be more fun. They absolutely loved it. They could swim on their own and play in the sand. This is all they wanted to do. I highly recommend this place if you are ever in the area.

Jacob running from shade to shade to avoid the hot sand on his bare feet. It was so funny watching him.

Making sand castles.

Working together to make one.

The mound.

They would walk right up to us!

Digging for sand.

Carrying water to help put the castle together.

My little fish.

My beautiful fish.

My family does an annual Galveston trip as a part, and we've never done the Moody Gardens beach. We'll have to try it! The water is WAAAAAYYYYYY cleaner than if you'd done the actual ocean.

That does look like fun! We never went there when we've visited Galveston either!
